Delete your HeartSync account

Delete your account in the HeartSync app

Use this option if you can sign in to HeartSync:

1. Open HeartSync: Couples Journal and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation.
3. Scroll to Danger Zone.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Read the deletion notice, then confirm the permanent deletion.

HeartSync may ask you to sign in again before deletion. Sign in with the same email, Google, or Apple account, then repeat the steps above. This security check prevents someone with temporary access to your phone from deleting your account.

Request deletion if you cannot use the app

Email Web Dev NC from the email address associated with your HeartSync account. Include the account email address and ask us to delete the HeartSync account and its associated data.

We may ask you to verify that you own the account before we delete it. Do not send your password, private journal text, photos, sign-in codes, or payment details by email.

Data HeartSync deletes

Account deletion starts removal of data owned by your HeartSync account, including:

• Your Firebase Authentication account and HeartSync profile.
• Your heartbeat responses, memories, and milestones.
• Photos and other files you uploaded to HeartSync.
• Your invite code, notification tokens, preferences, and active partner-link or partner-request information.
• Media reference records and shared-period records associated with content that you own.

Backend cleanup may continue for a short period after your account closes. HeartSync removes or revokes access to account-owned data as the cleanup completes.

Effect on your partner

Deleting your account does not delete your partner's HeartSync account or content that your partner owns. Your deletion removes the active partner link and your account-owned content. Shared-history access may change as HeartSync completes relationship and visibility cleanup.

Information that may remain

Google Play and Apple may keep purchase or transaction records under their own policies and legal duties. Firebase, Google, Apple, and other service providers may retain limited security, fraud-prevention, diagnostic, support, or legal records for the periods their policies or the law require. HeartSync does not keep deleted journal text or photos for advertising or marketing.

Delete content without closing your account

You can delete individual photos and heartbeat content inside HeartSync while keeping your account. You can also disconnect your partner from the Partner tab. These actions do not close your HeartSync account.
