LumaLink Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Core Philosophy

LumaLink ("we", "our", or "us"), provided by Web Dev NC, is designed with a fundamental privacy-first architecture. We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or monetize your personal information, video feeds, or audio recordings.

All video streaming between your Android smartphone and your desktop computer happens directly via peer-to-peer (P2P) WebRTC communication over your local network.

2. Device Permissions Used

To operate as a phone-to-PC webcam, LumaLink requires the following standard Android permissions:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used strictly to capture live video from your device sensor and stream it to your paired receiver (such as OBS Studio, browser, or virtual camera receiver). Video feeds are transmitted directly and locally. Video is never uploaded to cloud servers or stored by us.
• Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Used to capture and transmit audio alongside the camera stream when audio broadcasting is enabled. Audio is transmitted live and is never recorded or saved.
• Local Network & Internet (android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used strictly to establish local Wi-Fi / WebRTC peer-to-peer connections between your phone and your computer, and to resolve local signaling requests for QR-code pairing.

3. Data Collection, Storage, and Sharing

• No User Accounts: You do not need to create an account, register, or provide your email address, phone number, or login credentials to use LumaLink.
• No Analytics or Tracking: The LumaLink mobile application does not contain third-party tracking, behavioral advertising, or data harvesting SDKs.
• No Advertisements: LumaLink is ad-free and contains no advertising networks.
• No Cloud Video Storage: Your video stream is ephemeral and directly transferred between your phone and your paired computer receiver.
• No Data Sales: We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party under any circumstances.

4. Website Analytics

When you visit the webdevnc.com or lumalink.webdevnc.com websites, standard website hosting logs and privacy-preserving analytics may be processed as described in the general Web Dev NC Privacy Policy. The mobile application itself does not transmit analytics data.

5. Children’s Privacy

LumaLink does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. The application is a general productivity tool for video broadcasting.

6. Security

All WebRTC peer-to-peer data channels and media streams utilize industry-standard DTLS/SRTP encryption protocols to secure communications across your network.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
